Sobraniye 2016 - A Get-Together of Indian Students going to Russia for Medical Study

A get-together of Indian students going to Russia for higher studies was organised by Rus Education on September 11, 2016 at Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) Delhi. Students, who got admission to different Russian universities for medical studies, along with their parents attended the event.

The Russian medical universities that the Indian students are bound to travel on admission comprised Tver State Medical University, Smolensk State Medical University Orenburg State Medical University, Volgograd State Medical University, Kazan State Medical University, Bashkir State Medical University, Perm State medical University and Mari State Medical University.



Present on the occasion, guiding the students, Ms. Elena Barman, Head of Education Department, RCSC, Dr. S.K Washim, Professor, Tver State Medical University, Dr. Dinesh Singla, President,Indian Students’ Association of Orenburg Medical University, Russia, and Mr. Syed Imranuzzaman, Director, Rus Education.

Congratulating the students, Ms. Elena Burman wished students a pleasant stay in Russia, successful studies and a brilliant medical career in future life. She also appreciated the parents for their bold and wise choice of their children’s future profession.She promised all sorts of assistance, guidance, help and cooperation from the side of Rus Education to the Indian students.

A film on Russian-Indian friendship and cooperation was screened for the benefit of parents of the Indian students. A video presentation by Rajya Sabha TV covering the BRICS Summit at Ufa, Russia was also shown on the occasion.

A major highlight of the programme was the special scholarship Badte Kadam Scholarship, instituted in the name of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, to top 5 students. 

Dr. Dinesh Singla provided minute details of how to proceed for a new entrant to a medical university. He explained airlines check-in, emigration procedures, tips on luggage, proper guidelines for travelling to Russia and movement within the country’s territory, etc. Giving some tips to make their trip as smooth as possible, he noted that the Indian students could very soon feel at home once they land in Russia.

Present on the occasion, Dr. S.K. Washim, Professor Tver State Medical University, answered all the queries of parents related to payments of fees, travel dates, examination dates. 

The students were presented with bags with the logo of Rus Education affixed on them and a pen drive uploaded with books of complete 6 courses.

Similar Programme was organized in Kolkata and Ahmedabad and very soon will be organized in Mumbai & Trivendurm.
